How we use cookies and similar technologies

Effective date / Last updated

Company: Kylee Labs Inc. ("Kylee," "Kylee Labs," "we," "us," "our")

This Cookie Policy explains how Kylee.io (the "Service") uses cookies and similar technologies, and what choices you have.

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1) What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They help websites remember information about your visit, like login status, preferences, and security settings.

We may also use similar technologies such as:

  • Local storage (data stored by your browser),
  • Pixels / tags (small snippets used to measure performance or deliver messages),
  • SDKs (software kits used in apps—if we launch one).

For simplicity, we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.

2) Why We Use Cookies

We use cookies to:

  • keep you signed in and maintain sessions,
  • protect the Service and prevent abuse,
  • remember preferences and settings,
  • support core features (like uploads, content viewing, and account management).

3) Types of Cookies We Use

3.1 Essential Cookies (Always On)

These cookies are required for the Service to function. They typically include:

  • Authentication/session cookies (so you stay logged in),
  • Security cookies (fraud prevention, bot detection, abuse prevention),
  • Load balancing / performance cookies (to keep the Service stable).

Because these are necessary to operate the Service, you generally can't opt out of them without disabling functionality.

3.2 Preference Cookies (Optional / May Be Used)

These remember choices you make, like UI preferences or settings. If we use them, they help make your experience smoother.

3.3 Analytics Cookies (Not Currently Implemented)

We may add analytics in the future to understand how the Service is used (e.g., which pages are visited, what features are popular, how performance is trending).

As of today, we do not currently run third-party analytics tracking on the Service (or we have not fully implemented it yet). When analytics is added:

  • we will update this Cookie Policy, and
  • where required by law, we will request consent before enabling analytics cookies.

3.4 Advertising / Marketing Cookies (Not Currently Implemented)

We may add marketing cookies in the future to measure the performance of campaigns or show relevant announcements off-platform.

As of today, we do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party ad tracking on the Service (or we have not fully implemented it yet). If this changes, we will update this policy and provide appropriate controls.

4) Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies may be set by third-party service providers we use to operate the Service (for example, infrastructure, security, or embedded content). We require vendors to handle data appropriately, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

If we introduce analytics or marketing vendors (e.g., analytics providers), we will list the categories here and provide opt-in/opt-out controls as required.

5) Your Choices and Controls

5.1 Cookie Banner / Consent Controls

If and when we introduce optional cookies (like analytics or marketing), we may display a cookie banner or preference center that allows you to choose which categories to enable.

5.2 Browser Controls

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:

  • delete cookies,
  • block cookies, or
  • be notified when cookies are set.

Note: blocking essential cookies may cause parts of the Service to stop working (especially login and session features).

5.3 Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no universal standard for how to interpret these signals, so we may not respond to them consistently. If we adopt a standard approach in the future, we will update this policy.

6) Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or how we operate the Service. The "Last updated" date above indicates when it was most recently revised.
